The brewery

Brasserie Meteor / Villa Meteor, at 1b rue du Général Gouraud in Hochfelden, is the oldest brewing site in France — independent, run by the Haag family since 1640 — sitting ~25 km north of Marlenheim near the Strasbourg–Saverne rail corridor (source: mary-heritiage-alsace.md). It is the nearest brewery experience to the Couronne d'Or (the "Golden Crown") heritage cluster and a natural stop on the car-based heritage-core loop (source: mary-heritiage-alsace.md).

The “Villa Meteor” museum offers an interactive tour (listed variously ~90 min to 1h55) ending with a generous tasting at the bar — galopins plus Boehli pretzels (source: mary-heritiage-alsace.md). Adults €9, students ~€5, free under 16; high season is generally Tue–Sun 10:00–18:00, but listings vary so reservation is recommended and hours should be confirmed near travel (source: mary-heritiage-alsace.md).
