Habits de Lumière

Habits de Lumière is Epernay's flagship festival, held in mid-December along the Avenue de Champagne over three days (Friday–Sunday). It is organised by the town of Épernay in partnership with the Comité de l'Avenue de Champagne, themed around the Champagne region's art of living (source: Habits de Lumière - Epernay - a colourful event.md). Its 25th edition ran December 12–14, 2025, drawing close to 30,000 people per evening (source: compass_artifact_wf-8ad79e77...) — a sharp surge of about 21,000 more visitors than the previous year (source: Champagne Houses in Epernay Elegant Heritage with a Down-to-Earth Welcome.md).
Programme
- Friday & Saturday evenings — two festive evenings on the Avenue de Champagne: illuminations, video-mappings, champagne bars, musical entertainment, and fireworks, spotlighting the great Houses (source: Habits de Lumière - Epernay - a colourful event.md).
- **Saturday — Habits de Saveurs (gastronomy): Michelin-starred chefs team with Avenue winegrowers and local producers for a demonstration-tasting open to all; the afternoon P'tits Pâtissiers** competition pits young chefs against each other, plus food-and-wine workshops and cellar tours (source).
- Sunday — vintage-vehicle parade: now over 400 vehicles, one of the largest such gatherings in north-east France (source: Habits de Lumière - Epernay - a colourful event.md).
