Crémant de Bourgogne

Crémant de Bourgogne is Burgundy (Bourgogne)'s traditional-method sparkling wine (made like Champagne). It received its AOC by decree on 17 October 1975 — the appellation marked its 50th anniversary in 2025 (source: compass_artifact_wf-5af489e6...). It is made from the four Burgundy grapes — Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Aligoté, and Gamay (see Burgundy Grape Varieties). The Côte Chalonnaise (Rully) and Nuits-Saint-Georges are often cited as its cradle (source).
The leading visitor-facing producer is Louis Bouillot — "La Verrière" ("La Verrière" in Nuits-Saint-Georges), whose emblematic cuvée "Perle de Vigne" blends all four grapes (source: compass_artifact_wf-5af489e6...).
