Crémant d'Alsace
Alsace's sparkling wine, made from Pinot Noir among other grapes.

Crémant d'Alsace is the traditional-method sparkling wine of Alsace (made like Champagne). It now accounts for about 33% of Alsace wine production — roughly 40 million bottles in 2023 — and is considered a great value (source: compass_artifact_wf-755602f0...). It is made mostly from Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Auxerrois, Riesling, and Chardonnay — the last permitted only in Crémant (source). The Dopff au Moulin estate near Riquewihr is highlighted as a place to discover it (source: The Ultimate Alsace Wine Route Itinerary ⭐️ 2026 Map.md).
This sparkling wine is distinct from Champagne and from Crémant de Bourgogne — the three French sparkling traditions covered in this wiki.
