The village
Kaysersberg (officially Kaysersberg Vignoble) is one of the most visited places in Alsace on the Alsace Wine Route, at the entrance of the Vosges Valley (source: The Ultimate Alsace Wine Route Itinerary ⭐️ 2026 Map.md; Alsace Wine Route by Car – Itinerary & Map.md). Its name means “the Emperor's mountain,” referring to the ruined 13th-century imperial castle that dominates the town; the historic centre has ranks of 15th–16th-century half-timbered houses and a unique fortified bridge of pink Vosges sandstone (source: Alsace Wine Route by Car – Itinerary & Map.md).
