Weingut Vereinigte Hospitien

The estate
Weingut Vereinigte Hospitien is home to Germany's oldest wine cellar, a Roman-era vault, with tastings in a historic ambience on the Moselle waterfront in Trier (Krahnenufer 19) (source: trier-germany-research.md). The estate is run as part of a charitable hospital foundation, in the spirit of Burgundy's Hospices de Beaune.
Together with the cathedral-side Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt wine bar, it is the in-town counterpart to the Mosel and Saar estates outside the city (source: jerry-alsace.md). For deeper cellar history, pair it with the Bischöfliche Weingüter and their Late-Antique cellar. Make appointments and never drink and drive (source: jerry-alsace.md).
